Aurora Theatre
One of the biggests draws to the Lawrenceville Square is the Aurora Theatre. Recently the City of Lawrenceville and the theatre finalized an agreement to move the ten year old, professional theatre from their location in Duluth to a new home in Downtown Lawrenceville. The City and the Theatre have created a partnership that will take the historic old Methodist Church on Pike Street and transform it to a new facility with two stages, making it possible for the Aurora to expand from its six show season to a schedule that will keep the limelights glowing nearly every night. www.auroratheatre.com
In addition to the main stage schedule, the Aurora produces a full season of Children's programming which includes their long-standing "Learning Library" which is an original series of productions designed to compliment the required learning skills of the Gwinnett County public school curriculum. Ghost Tours is another Aurora production designed to bring people to the Square on weekend evenings for a walking tour of Lawrenceville's favorite haunting. www.scarystroll.com
